Player settings

Start player automatically

Click this checkbox (in the next column) if you want the MP3 player to start playing tracks automatically when you open up pages on the Vorbic site.

Player in pop-up window

Click this checkbox (in the next column) if you want the MP3 player to appear in a pop-up window rather than on each page. This means that tracks keep playing in the background and don't change when a new page is loaded.

Most browsers have 'pop-up blockers' these days to stop annoying pop-up adverts - so if you want to use this you'll need to switch off pop-up blocking for the Vorbic website pages:

  • In Internet Explorer you'll see a yellow bar appear at the top of the browser window which will say "Pop-up blocked. To see this pop-up...". Click on the window and select the "Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site..." option
  • If you have the Google toolbar on your browser that may also have a pop-up blocker in it - click on the button that says 'xx blocked' where xx is a number and the text should change to 'Popups okay'

Settings not being remembered?

If you find these settings are not being remembered when you come back to the Vorbic site it is probably because cookies are disabled in your browser. You'll need to 'enable cookies' in the browser so the settings can be remembered.

The player settings are actually saved separately on each computer you use with the Vorbic site - so if you use several computers to view the site you'll need to save player settings on each computer.

Firefox issues

The 'Start player automatically' option does not seem to be working in Firefox, and the pop-up player looks a bit odd too. We are working on getting these problems fixed.
