Ding Ding Chavéz are Ramrod Xavier & The Lunatic Fringe. They came together in the wilds of the Oxfordshire countryside many, many moons ago.
They have been inspired by the countryside around them, childish acts, moronic banter and a silly man known only as Mr V. Growing up in an outpost of civilisation (or at least that's what it felt like) solace was often sought in music.
One became an avid collector of all things musically weird and wonderful, and the other turned his hand to DJ'ing at local nightspots.
Fuelled by alcohol, campfires on a local hill, hot summers, spare time and more alcohol, they eventually both turned their hands to making their own music with the help of dubious eBay & car boot sale purchases.
Fast forwarding to today they have a conflicted vision, eclectic musical tastes, vivid imaginations, a sense of what they like, and computers. A collaboration born of stupidity and an appreciation of all things odd has often led to a struggle to rein in the ideas into something workable, as you will hear from their work.
