Amateur Android

Originating from Northern Ireland and residing in England, Amateur Android's aim is to make electronic music with an edge.

From an early age, Stephen Balmer a.k.a Amateur Android, has been messing around with musical instruments and computers. Whilst at university, he played bass guitar with local Belfast punk legends LMS.

After leaving Northern Ireland to pursue a career as a games programmer and with the band left behind, there was little time for involvement with music. Several years passed before the music making bug was to rear its head again - this time instigated by the first software synthesizers.

Some years later and lots of lonely nights in front of a computer screen, the Amateur Android project became sentient and is now ready to face the world.
